Dear Property Owner,
On January 13, 2004, the Lawrence City Commission will hold a hearing for the consideration of forming a special assessment benefit district pursuant to Resolution 6514. The appraisal information mailed on December 23, 2003 contained data from the 2002 valuations of the Douglas County Appraiser's Office. Resolution 6514 (see paragraph d) specifies that the value used in determining the assessments should be the appraised value as of December 1, 2003. Attached are the values for each tract in the benefit district as of 12/1/03 as provided by the appraiser's office.
The City Commission meetings begin at 6:35 p.m. in City Hall, 6th E. 6th Street. You are welcome to attend this meeting or provide written comments prior to the January 13th hearing date.
