Re: Project No. 77-ST17-1100(S)
Haskell Stormwater Mitigation Basin
_____________________________________________________________________
The construction of a stormwater mitigation basin was funded by the state in the Fall 2000. The City entered into an agreement with the Kansas Department of Transportation on November 28, 2000. In that agreement, the city agreed to prepare plans at our cost, and to administer and inspect the construction of the project. The state agreed to pay 80% of the cost of construction and inspection.
The cost to design the project was $57,000 and the cost of property acquisition was $74,000. Both of these costs were paid 100% by the City. The estimated cost of construction is $130,000. The current agreement is for the construction administration and inspection in the amount of $7,435.20. KDOT will reimburse the city for 80% of these costs. The city share of this project is funded by Resolution No. 6399, stormwater bonds.
