Re: Orchards Benefit District Resolution 6523
The attached resolution establishes the special assessment benefit district for the stormwater improvements and conservation easement at the Orchards golf course. The appraised values of the condominium properties were set at 15% of the County Appraiser’s values. Jack Skeels advised that the proposed assessments/appraised values were acceptable. The City’s bond counsel has also concurred in the proposed assessments and the draft resolution.
After the benefit district is established, staff will work with the neighborhood group, the property owner (Alvamar, Inc.) and the golf course owners (Whites), and their respective attorneys to draft a conservation easement (for City Commission approval), obtain the necessary drainage easements, and work on related title issues.
