Subject: 933 Accessory Building

Julie,

Good news, our meeting with Tom Costello was productive.  Armed with the

drawings Malcom provided Tom was able to give us some concrete

alternatives to total disassembly.  A very simplified explanation of what

was suggested is to put temporary supporting walls in,  put temporary

supports on the second floor, remove the roof a section at a time, pour a

cap over the existing footer, install new sill plates, run new joists

floor to 2nd floor, in the process pull the building back together making

it a plumb as possible, and rebuild the roof.  Tom has agreed to be an

ongoing consultant on the project.  Obviously Tom's insight/approach was

quite different from the other contractors.  I'm sorry I didn't have this

consultation month's ago, it may have saved us all from some issues.

We're ready to start work once we get the permits reissued/extended?

I look forward to hearing from you.
