RE           Bids for golf course maintenance equipment and recommendations for equipment lease

     Our lease purchase agreement for maintenance equipment for Eagle Bend Golf Course has expired.  We have re-bid six pieces of five-year-old equipment, five of which we anticipate entering into a lease purchase agreement annually for four years.

There is a total trade-in value for each piece of equipment, valued at $7,500.00, which is

 included in the prices listed.

Recommended Action:

Accept the bids in bold that meet specifications, which would come  to a purchase price of $98,674.70.  We request we enter into a lease purchase agreement for the equipment, which would be an annual payment of $25,076.34 for four years. 

      We ask for authorization for the City Manager to sign a lease purchase agreement for          five (5) pieces of equipment.  In addition we recommend purchase of the core harvester at $2,800 for a total expenditure of $27,876.34 in 2004.  (Municipal Golf Course Fund)
