            The Lawrence Police Department’s evidence personnel have tentatively scheduled Saturday, April 17, 2004, for the Evidence / Found Property and departments’ property auction.  Mark Elston of Elston Auction Company will manage and advertise the auction.  The auction will commence at 1000 hours at the Traffic Division garage, 5^th and Mississippi Streets, with public viewing beginning at 0800 hours.

            The items set for sale are in compliance with state laws concerning the sale of such items.  The attached list is working list of the items currently slotted for sale.  The  finalized list is forthcoming as other city departments have received notice of the sale.  The finalized list will be available at the police department.   

            Please have this notification placed on the City Commission’s Agenda for public announcement.  Any questions concerning these arrangements can be made to the evidence personnel of the Lawrence Police Department at 832-7552.
