Dear Mayor Rundle,

Van Go Mobile Arts, Inc. is submitting an application to the Department of Commerce under the Community Services Tax Credit program for $245,000 in Kansas tax credits.  The application is due May 7, 2004. If awarded these tax credits will generate 49 percent of a $1,000,000 capital campaign fund goal that is being raised to permit Van Go to purchase and renovate the facility it presently rents at 715 New Jersey Street.  The campaign is in its silent phase. The public phase will be announced once we have raised fifty percent of our goal.

A requirement of the application is the local government endorsement of the project.

For the purposes of the application, the Van Go project is the Acquisition and Renovation of the facility at 715 New Jersey.

Attached is the endorsement form which contains basic information that will be included in the application. Van Go has not yet completed the entire application. However the information on the form contains all the goals and strategies that will be elaborated upon in the full application. The city’s endorsement of this project does not preclude it from endorsing any other tax credit application that may be submitted by a local organization.

We request that the city endorse this project by having you sign the form on line 10.
