Bids were taken May 18, 2004 on the subject project.  The results are as follows:

          Engineer’s Estimate                                     $   556,100.00

          Larkin Excavating, Inc.                                  $   280,650.04

          Graybeal Construction                                  $   355,978.40

Kansas Heavy Construction                                    $   363,592.00

          LRM Industries, Inc.                                       $   381,065.35

          D. F. Freeman                                               $   528,369.40

We recommend awarding the contract to Larkin Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $280,650.04 provided the contractor can meet the terms established in the contract documents.
