Re: Public Hearing – Improvements to Lake Pointe Drive
At the City Commission meeting of June 15, 2004 the City Commission will hold a public hearing for the improvements to Lake Pointe Drive. This is a collector street and will be 31’ wide from back of curb to back of curb, with 6’ sidewalks on both sides. This street is not identified on the Bicycle Facilities Map as either a Bike Route or Lane Facility. Intersection improvements at Clinton Parkway will be evaluated for safety, efficiency, and capacity and will include a roundabout, signal, and other geometric improvements.
The estimated cost of the improvement is $1,166,250. The method of assessment is based on front footage. The apportionment of costs is 100% to be paid by the benefit district and 0% by the City At Large. The benefit district property owners are in agreement with the proposed improvements, and desire to proceed. Therefore, the resolution setting out the findings of the Governing Body and ordering the improvements to be completed is also presented for City Commission direction.
Please let me know if there are any questions.
Action Requested: Hold public hearing and, pending public comment, approve Resolution 6550.
Respectfully submitted,
Charles F. Soules, P.E.
