On July 6, 2004, the City of Lawrence opened proposals for the following:  

Project 26-SR5-504(C) 

2004 Overlay and Concrete Repair Program, Phase 3

Kansas Heavy Construction, L.L.C.	$614,662.95
Larkin Excavating, Inc.	$636,358.23
D. F. Freeman Contractors, Inc.	$738,212.76

Recommendation Action:

Approve bid from LRM Industries, Inc. for the 2004 Overlay and Concrete Repair Program, Phase 3, in the amount of $575,753.80, provided the contractor can meet the terms established in the contract documents.

Incentive Recommendation:  The contract will include $600 per day for liquidated damages.  This project does not typically cause substantial public inconvenience for prolonged periods of time.  No recommendation for incentive.  Working days for this project is 50.
