On July 13, 2004, the City of Lawrence opened proposals for the following:   

Bid #0421 – Continuously Operating Reference Station – Information Systems

Laser Specialists, Inc.	$ 22,852.00
Geomatic Resources	$ 25,000.00

The CORS will be used for receiving/transmitting GPS signal to field units for better location accuracy of the City’s infrastructure, better security of field equipment, and reliability of GPS performance in a variety of tasks where time in an important factor.

Recommendation Action:

Approve bid from Seiler Instrument for CORS in the amount of $18,090.00 from the Utilities/Wastewater CIP fund.
