ORDINANCE NO.  7818

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS AMENDING SECTION 19-806 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS, 2003 EDITION,  AND AMENDMENTS THERETO CONCERNING SEPTAGE DISCHARGE FEES.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

SECTION 1.  Section 19-806 of the Code of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, 2003 Edition, and amendments thereto, is hereby amended to read as follows:

19-806            SEPTAGE AND CHEMICAL WASTE DISCHARGE FEES.

a)         The following fees for the discharge of septage and chemical waste are established effective on and after  January 1, 2005:

            Chemical Waste       $171.71 per 1,000 gallons

Septage                     $183.20 per 1,000 gallons

SECTION 2.  Section 19-806 of the Code of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, 2003 Edition, and amendments thereto and Ordinance No. 7257, are hereby repealed it being the intent of this ordinance to supersede the repealed ordinance and Code provisions.

SECTION 3.     This ordinance shall be effective on and after January 1, 2005.
