ORDINANCE NO. 7819

 

AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TRAFFIC WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS, AMENDING SECTION 17-411 OF THE CODE OF CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS, 2003 EDITION AND AMENDMENTS THERETO

 

 

Section 1.     Section 17-411 of the Code of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, 2003 edition and amendments thereto, is hereby amended to read as follows.

 

17-411              PARKING MORE THAN 48-HOURS. 

It shall be unlawful for any person to park, or permit the parking, storing or standing of any motor vehicle upon any public street or parking in the City for any continuous period of more than forty-eight (48) hours.  (Ord. 5434, Sec. 2; Code 1983; Ord. 5963)

 

The provisions of this section may not be defeated by a mere location change of any offending vehicle on the same side of the street within the same block.

 

Section 2.     Section 17-411 of the Code of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, Edition 2003, and amendments thereto, are hereby repealed, it being the intent that the provisions of this ordinance supersede the repealed Code Sections.

 

Section 3.     This ordinance shall take effect and be in force upon its passage and publication once in the official city paper as provided by law.
