	Re:	Standard Traffic Ordinance Adoption: Ord. 7811

Each year the City of Lawrence adopts by reference the Standard Traffic Ordinance (STO) as prepared by the League of Kansas Municipalities.  This ordinance along with local changes and amendments is codified into Article 1 of Chapter 17 of the Code of the City of Lawrence.

One item of change from the 2003 version of the STO, is found in Section 27 - Duty to Report Accidents.  The reporting requirement on damage caused by accidents has been raised from $500 to $1,000 as a threshold for when accidents must be reported to law enforcement.

Attached for consideration is Ordinance No. 7811 adopting by reference the 2004 STO.
