The  September 18^th Festival in South Park Subcommittee of the Lawrence Sesquicentennial Commission requests permission to place a 3’ x 8’ vinyl sign in the City right of way on the east side of South Park between the sidewalk and Massachusetts St.  The right of way is approximately 19’ wide.

This sign will invite the community to the festival by advertising free games, music and birthday cake.

The sign will be perpendicular to Massachusetts St. and have printing on both sides so that the public can view the sign while traveling in either direction on Massachusetts St.

The sign will be mounted on metal posts and be approximately 4’ above the ground.

We wish to install this temporary sign of community interest as soon as possible to generate the most community attention.  The sign will be removed at 3:00 pm on September 18 at the end of the festival.

The costs for the sign are already included in the subcommittee’s approved budget.

The sign will be installed and maintained by members of the subcommittee.
