Given recent Internet development initiatives at the Lawrence Public Library, Karen Davis and I do not feel that it is necessary for the Community Information Advisory Board to continue its activities. The Lawrence CyberVillage and associated community information databases are in the process of being incorporated into the Library website (www.lawrencepubliclibrary.org). We believe that the development of this information within the context of the Library website can be accommodated by Karen, in consultation with a Library staff committee.

Therefore, we request that the Lawrence City Commission formally disband the Community Information Advisory Board, and thank its membership for their contributions.
