Lawrence, Kansas

WHEREAS:   The City of Lawrence recognizes the importance of family, friends, and community support; and

WHEREAS:   The Lawrence City Commission urges citizens to attend events and commemorations that enhance our spirit of community; and

WHEREAS:   With the support of local charities, businesses, churches and local residents, Free 4 Freedom will provide an opportunity in Watson Park for citizens  to gather on September 11, 2004 to remember the events of September 11, 2001;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mike Rundle, Mayor of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, on behalf of the City of Lawrence, do hereby recognize the efforts of Free 4 Freedom in its September 11, 2004 event.
