While reviewing the proposed site plan for an office and storage building to be added to the Douglas County Fairgrounds it was noted that the Final Plat for the  north 11.9 acres was approved, but never recorded with the Register of Deeds Office.  A condition of the site plan (SP-06-38-04) is that the final plat be recorded prior is release of the site plan for issuance of a building permit.

The Final Plat (FP-05-14-00) was originally approved by Planning Commission in June of 2000. The City Commission accepted easements and rights-of-way on July 18, 2000. The applicant met all the conditions of approval by March 2001 prior to expiration of the Final Plat.

Because of the length of time the plat has remained unfiled, the acknowledgement section of the plat has become outdated. The signature blocks for the Mayor, City Clerk and the Planning Commission Chair need to be updated with the current members.

The final plat has been forwarded to the City Commission to confirm the acceptance of easements and rights of way. Upon approval, the Final Plat will be updated with the appropriate signature acknowledgement blocks for the Mayor, City Clerk and the Planning Commission Chair.
