Dear Mr. Wildgen:

 

As you may be aware, the Friends organization has been raising money to assist the library through used book sales for many years. One way in which we generate customers for this fundraiser is through garage sale-size signs. I am writing you to request permission for the Friends of the Lawrence Public Library to place these signs in the area around the library.

 

These signs would be placed between 6th and 9th streets and between Massachusetts and Tennessee streets. We would place them on or after the morning of Friday, October 1 and remove them on or before the afternoon of Saturday, October 9.

 

The Friends of the Lawrence Public Library is a non-profit organization that gave the Lawrence Public Library over $108,000 in 2003. We appreciate all the help you can give us in this matter.
