RE:	Project No. 28-CP8-604(BD) Lake Pointe Drive, 22^nd Terrace to Clinton Parkway Agreement for Engineering Services

Attached is an agreement with Peridian Group, Inc. to provide engineering services for a storm sewer for Lake View Addition.  Lake Pointe Drive is being designed by BG Consultants for the City.  Due to the topography of the area a storm sewer is needed that will run through Lot 1 of the development from Lake Pointe Drive to a detention basin.  Peridian is the firm doing the engineering for the development, and this improvement needs to tie into and be coordinated with the interior/private street network.  Therefore, Peridian was asked to submit a proposal.  The owners of the benefit district were informed and all are in agreement. 

Action Requested:  Authorize City Manager to execute agreement with Peridian Group in the amount of $12,000 for engineering services for a storm sewer extension from Lake Pointe Drive to a detention basin.  This project is being paid for 100% by the benefit district; the City is not participating.

“In-House” Comment:  With additional staff and time this is the size of project that could be prepared by the City.  The survey for this project and coordination with the adjacent development would take the most time.  Incurred expenses would be for an engineer to provide the design and calculations for sizing, and a technician to provide the drawings/plans.
