INVITATION FOR BIDS

The Department of Neighborhood Resources of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, is now soliciting bids for the rehabilitation of properties at 811 East 11th Street, and 2236 East Drive.

This rehabilitation work includes general home improvements.

Be advised that no bids on this work will be accepted by the Department of Neighborhood Resources unless the bidder has viewed the property in the company of a representative of said Department.  BIDDERS MUST BE PRE-QUALIFIED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF NEIGHBORHOOD RESOURCES.

The viewing date will be October 27, 2004 .  Contact the Department at 785-832-3113 during regular working hours, for a schedule of the viewing times.

Sealed bids for this work will be received until 2:00 p.m. on November 9, 2004 , at the office of the City Clerk, 3rd Floor, City Hall, 6th and Massachusetts, Lawrence, Kansas.

Bids will be opened in the City Commission room on the first floor of the City Hall at 2:00 p.m. November 9, 2004 .

Bids may be held by the Department for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the opening of the bids in order to allow time for reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders prior to awarding the contract.

This project will be 100% federally financed, up to a maximum of $35,000.
