Miscellaneous Items
Swarts advised the Committee that Mayor Rundle appointed marci francisco to represent the Oread Neighborhood. There is still a vacancy for an at-large representative. If the Committee knows of anyone interested, please advise Swarts or the City Manager’s Office of the interested party.
Swarts presented Dunn and Pippert with Certificates of Appreciation and thanked them for their participation on the Committee.
Pippert commented the experience has been rewarding and the Committee has an important job. It is a lot of work and since she started serving, she noticed the allocation amounts have continued to decrease each year. However, in many ways, the allocation process has become easier because the Committee has been able to focus on previously established priorities. She will continue to provide support.
Dunn commented that allocations from the Committee have a large impact on agencies. The Committee does have an impact on the community and different people perceive different needs.
The next meeting is October 14, 2004 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Commission Room. The Committee will elect a new chair and vice-chair at the meeting.
Adjourn
There being no further discussion or Public Comment, Pippert moved to adjourn the meeting. Dunn seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
