MEMBERS: Two members for the Board of Directors; two members to the Advisory Council
MEETINGS: Second Thursday, 10:00 a.m. (Advisory Council) and 1:30 p.m. (Board of Directors). Location rotates between three (3) counties.
FUNCTION:
Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging, Inc., advocates on aging issues, builds community partnerships and implements programs within Shawnee, Jefferson, and Douglas counties to help seniors live independent and dignified lives.
The Board of Directors sets the policy of the agency and plans for the future of JAAA. The Advisory Council acts as the grass-roots liaison between the community, the board of directors and the executive director.
