Third Quarter Financial Report

Ed Mullins, Finance Director, will review the City’s Third Quarter Financial Report.

 

Firefighter Career Program   Explorer Program Brochure

The attached brochure provides information on Explorer Post 2555, a local fire service Explorer post that helps youths gain insight into a variety of programs that offer hands-on career activities.  The program targets young men and women who are interested in careers in the fireld of fire service.  Contacts for the program are Lt. Jim Saladin or Firefighter Brandon Holloman.

 

WalMart Grant

The Lawrence/Douglas County Fire/Medical Department applied for and received a grant from WalMart for $1000.00 to be used to purchase additional educational materials to supplement the department’s Hazard House, which incidentally, was purchased through a grant from Safe Kids this past year.

 

KLINK Award Announced   Letter from KDOT

Deb Miller, Secretary of Transportation, announces in the attached letter to Chuck Soules, Public Works Director, KDOT’s funding approval of the proposed KLINK Resurfacing project from Irving Hill Road overpass to Harvard Road on Iowa Street and from approximately 0.13 miles west of Harper Street to the east city limits on 23rd Street.  The project is programmed for FY 2007.

 

City Employee United Way Activities
