RE:	Selection of Consulting Services for Cost of Growth Study

Pursuant to direction of the City Commission, the City solicited proposals in response to a Request for Proposals for a Cost of Growth study.  This proposal responds to a recommendation of the Public Improvement Task Force.

The City received five responses:  Duncan Associates; Economic & Planning Systems; PROS Consulting/Bucher Willis & Ratliff; Springstead; and Tischler & Associates.   Review of the proposals indicated that two firms should be interviewed. A interview panel of Mayor Rundle, Commissioner Dunfield, City Manager Mike Wildgen, Director of Planning Linda Finger and Assistant City Manager David Corliss interviewed the Duncan firm and the Tischler firm.  The interview panel recommends the Tischler firm for the study.

ACTION:  Direct staff to negotiate an agreement with Tishcler and Associates for the Cost of Growth study, and forward a negotiated agreement for City Commission approval.
