On December 14, 2004 the City of Lawrence opened proposals for the following:  

Project 20-ST4-301(C) 

15^th and Lawrence Avenue

Stormwater Improvements

VENDOR	TOTAL BID
Engineer’s Estimate	$ 98,538.00
R. D. Johnson Excavating Co., Inc.	$ 71,915.00
Meadows Construction Co.	$125,371.80

Recommendation Action:

Approve bid from R. D. Johnson Excavating Co., Inc. for the 15^th and Lawrence Avenue Stormwater Improvements, in the amount of $71,915.00, provided the contractor can meet the terms established in the contract documents.

Incentive Recommendation:  The contract will include $200 per day for liquidated damages.  This project does not typically cause substantial public inconvenience for prolonged periods of time.  No recommendation for incentive.  Working days for this project is 90.
