On December 14, 2004 the City of Lawrence opened proposals for the following:  

Project 67-CP-21-104(C) 

Alley, 8^th Street to 9^th Street, Vermont to Kentucky

Pavement Reconstruction

Engineer’s Estimate	$167,600.00
LRM Industries, Inc.	$ 77,224.00
R. D. Johnson Excavating, Inc.	$ 77,913.30
Graybeal Construction Co., Inc.	$ 80,883.25

Recommendation Action:

Approve bid from LRM Industries, Inc. for the Alley, 8^th Street to 9^th Street, Vermont to Kentucky Pavement Reconstruction, in the amount of $77,224.00, provided the contractor can meet the terms established in the contract documents.

Incentive Recommendation:  The contract will include $400 per day for liquidated damages.  This project does not typically cause substantial public inconvenience for prolonged periods of time.  No recommendation for incentive.  Working days for this project is 50.
