On December 14, 2004, the City of Lawrence opened proposals for the following:  

Bid#0426 – Storage Building at HHW Facility  – Public Works Department

VENDOR	TOTAL BID (building with skylights and electric heat option)
GSR Construction Company	$115,020.00
B.A. Green Construction Company	$120,289.00
Weigel Construction Company	$130,553.63

Project description:  Storage building for supplies and storage of containerized wastes prior to shipping.  This project received grant funding ($33,688.08) from Kansas Department of Health and Environment to assist in procurement costs. An advance of one-half of the grant ($16,844.40) was received by the Finance Office on October 4, 2004.

Recommendation Action:

Approve bid from GSR Construction Inc. for the construction of the Storage Building at the HHW Facility in the amount of $115,020.00. (Public Works/Solid Waste Reduction, $81,331.92, State Grant, $33,688.00)
