The City will provide the LPA services (Local Public Authority Inspection) for this project in house; this cost is not included in the participating/non-participating costs.

Resolution 6501 was approved in October 2003 in an amount of $50,000.  This was for engineering of the project.  Resolution 6576 will replace Resolution 6501 and provide for funding of the total City share/cost of the project.  The amount being requested in Resolution 6576 includes a 20% contingency for change orders and changes in quantities.  We do not expect significant changes; however, this will give staff flexibility to make necessary field decisions.

ACTION REQUESTED:

  1. Adopt Resolution No. 6576 authorizing the issuance of bonds in the amount of $120,000  for improvements to the intersection at 7th and Kentucky.
  2. Approve Authority to Award Contract/Commitment of City Funds.

Respectfully submitted,

Charles F. Soules, P.E.
