Re:	Used police car purchase

The 2005 budget calls for the purchase of two (2) used Kansas Highway Patrol cars from the State of Kansas.  The cars will be used by Police/Investigations.  The two vehicles being used now have high mileage, high maintenance costs and are unreliable.  The Highway Patrol cars are 2003’s and are available for $13,150.00 each.

Recommendation:

Approve purchase of two (2) used Highway Patrol cars from the State of Kansas in the amount of $13,150.00 each totaling $26,300.00.  (Police Department/Investigations)
