Receive response from staff regarding Air Conditioner self-inspection program

Staff distributed response to the board regarding the air conditioner self-inspection program.(The letter stated that the City of Lawrence will not be implementing an air conditioner self-inspection program at this time)  Barrington stated that the decision was the same backward thinking from building inspection as has occurred in the past and was expected. Barrington continued that it sounded like Lawrence wants to be a follower referring to the letter that stated that staff contacted several other cities and found no other cities with a similar program.  Barrington said that he thought the idea sounded good and could take some of the burden off of staff members.

Miscellaneous

Barrington inquired about the status of the code reviews and when the issue will be brought before the City Commission.  Staff replied that once all the boards had completed their review, the boards would be notified as to when the issue would be before the City Commission.  Barrington wanted to make sure the board would be notified.  Staff assured they would be notified.
