On March 22, 2005 the City of Lawrence opened proposals for the following:

Bid #0512 – Pool Drop Slide – Parks and Recreation

VENDOR	TOTAL  BID
Miracle Recreation Equipment	43,858.00

Parks and Recreation requested bids for a drop slide for the outdoor swimming pool.  The existing slide has been cracking and delaminating for the past four years. Continued maintenance has been needed to keep this slide operational the past two years. It is to the point that it can not be repaired any longer.  Bids were sent to four vendors, placed on the internet and advertised in the news paper but we received only one bid.

Recommendation:

Approve bid from Miracle Recreation Equipment for the pool drop slide in the amount of $43,858.00.
