On March 8, 2005, the City Commission directed staff to prepare an ordinance amending the Lawrence Public and Workforce Smoking Restriction Ordinance No. 7782 to revise the definition of “enclosed area”, to add a definition of the word “wall”, and to provide an exception for smoking break rooms in existence on June 30, 2004, meeting the requirements recommended by staff.

An ordinance is attached for the Commission’s review and adoption, as appropriate.
