On March 22, 2005, the City of Lawrence opened proposals for the following:

Utilities Department requested to purchase a backhoe to replace Unit 235.  Unit 235 is a 1995 John Deere backhoe with over 8000 hours and has high maintenance costs.  This purchase was approved in the 2005 budgeting process.

Recommendation:

Approve bid from Victor L. Phillips for one backhoe in the amount of $60,633.00.
