CLINTON PARKWAY AND WAKARUSA RELIEF SEWER (PROJ.#PS04-33)

FINAL REPORT

This report provides information regarding the recently completed Capital Improvement Project #PS04-33, also known as the Clinton Parkway & Wakarusa Drive Relief Sewer.  A map of the project area is shown below.

General Project Information

The goal of the project was to install a relief sewer that would enable the City to decommission Pump Station # 33, located at 4820 Clinton Parkway.  PS 33, installed in 1994 to serve development north of Clinton Parkway and east of Wakarusa, was located next to a drainage way at the bottom of a hill (see photo #1).  This location made accessibility for maintenance difficult.  Decommissioning of this station would result in substantial savings in maintenance costs and utility (phone, electric) costs.

   Photo #1

The relief sewer would convey flows by gravity from the pump station wet well to a sewer system on the south side of Clinton Parkway.

Table 1 presents information related to the schedule of the project.
