RE:

Adoption of the 2005 Actionl Plan of the Consolidated Plan

The City Commission will consider adoption of the 2005 Action Plan of the Consolidated Plan at their regular meeting Tuesday, April 26, 2005.  The Consolidated Plan is required by the Cranston-Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act of 1990 and is the result of a collaborative process whereby a community establishes a unified vision for community development using federal, state, and local funds.

The 2005 Action Plan includes the one year Investment Summary (attached and page 37 in the Action Plan) for the upcoming 2005 program year (August 1, 2005 through July 31, 2006).  The Action Plan is available on the department website at http://www.lawrenceneighres.org/ and has been available to the public since April 7, 2005.  Staff will be available to answer questions.

The NRAC has also written a memorandum dated April 18, 2005 to the City Commission regarding the 2005 allocations and process.  The Chair of the Neighborhood Resources Advisory Committee, Greg Moore, will also be present at the meeting.

Should you have further questions, please let me know.  The Investment Summary follows.
