The Police Department is requesting to purchase a new BMW R1150 RT-P motorcycle from Engle Motors, Inc. This is a sole source purchase because BMW has a very strict policy on franchise sales areas. This motorcycle is to replace one that was wrecked in an accident. The total cost is $18,403.00 of which $6,094.00 is from insurance and the remainder comes out of Equipment Reserve the fund.
Recommendation Action:
Approve purchase from Engle Motors, Inc. for one (1) BMW motorcycle in the amount of $18, 403.00. ($6,094.00, Insurance / 12,309.00 Equipment Reserve)
