RE:	Revised Ordinance 7893 – Unlawful Camping

At the July 5^th, 2005 City Commission meeting, the Commission directed City staff to revise Ordinance 7893, the Unlawful Camping ordinance, by deleting the language that applied the ordinance prohibitions to public parks, recreation facilities, and other City-owned property.  Attached is the updated version of the ordinance. 

For the sake of brevity I have not fully discussed the provisions of the ordinance in this document.  A complete discussion of the ordinance may be found in the memorandum that was submitted for the July 5^th agenda that explained all four of the public civility ordinances.  The only change in this ordinance is deletion of both the prohibition against camping on public property and the penalty section that would have applied to the deleted prohibitions. 

I stand ready to make any further revisions as necessary.
