NOTICE OF HEARING ON THE PROPOSED SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS TO PAY FOR PART OF THE COSTS OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS INCLUDING PUMP STATION, FORCE MAIN, GRAVITY LINES AND RELATED AND ATTENDANT IMPROVEMENTS IN AND NEAR RIVERSIDE BUSINESS PARK, AS AUTHORIZED BY RESOLUTION 6402

 

 

The Board of Commissioners of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, will meet on Tuesday, August 9, 2005, at 6:35 p.m. or thereafter, in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 6 East 6th Street, to hear any written or oral objections on the report of property to be assessed because of the following improvements:

 

the construction of sanitary sewer improvements, including pump station, force mains, gravity lines and related and attendant improvements, including property acquisition.  The total costs of the project are $$1,326,645.18.  The costs being assessed to property in the benefit district total $199,067

Interested parties may see the reports in the office of the City Clerk prior to the hearing if they so desire.  Written comments will be considered by the City Commission and should be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office, P.O. Box 708, Lawrence, KS, 66044 or may be sent by e-mail to freeb@ci.lawrence.ks.us.

 

No suit to set aside the said assessments or otherwise question the validity of the proceedings shall be brought after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the publication of the ordinance fixing said assessments.
