Greentree Subdivision Rezoning Request
Sandra,
I am writing to express my concerns about the above-identified REZONING request. As an adjoining landowner I am concerned about the requested zoning because the subject property is entirely surrounded by single-family zoning. The requested zoning for this property, just last year at approximately this time, was for single-family zoning. Many decisions, and large investments have been made based on the current zoning of tracts of ground in this area including this subject tract, and current development is underway on those adjoining tracts.
I know of no changes in the marketplace that would have created the need/necessity for this rezoning, since the time this property was zoned and the plat was approved for Greentree Subdivision, as of late 2004.
The large increase in traffic that would be created by this change in zoning was undoubtedly not planned for with regard to the current improvements that are now taking place in the immediate area.
In my opinion, the density of development for this area should be maintained as currently planned, so that the integrity of the neighborhood can be insured for the existing adjoining properties.
It does not appear to me that this request is appropriate for the neighborhood that has been planned and is currently in progress.
