Note: This work includes preparation for and a public
presentation on the current state of library construction
and service in the United States. LPA will develop
comparable Statistics. MS&R will prepare comparable

E.4 Gather qualitative data – open public forums,
workshops, focus groups, brainstorming sessions,
citizen survey – listen to goals, aspirations and vision
of library staff, administration, board, as well as
associated groups and stakeholders, including

Note: This assumes that there will be 6 public and 6
New Directions Task Force meetings. The NDTF
meetings will be held in conjunction with the public
meetings. LPA will attend up to 2 of these meetings.
The hours for MS&R includes preparation time for the
presentation and documentation of the meetings for
dissemination on the library’s web site. The meetings
will take place between September of 2005 and Spring
of 2006. The exact schedule of meetings is to be
determined.
E.5 Gather quantitative data – updated community
analysis – population, growth trends and demographics,
as well as library collection, services, technology usage
statistics and trends. 8 0
