James Reiners, the winning vendor for the scrap copper & brass and obsolete water meters, just called and is declining to buy the scrap. He is from Iowa and due to the increasing price of fuel feels he cannot drive to Lawrence for that price.
Recommendation Action:
Approve the highest bid offer for all items except item 1 & 3. Item 1 & 3 approve the second high bid.
