Parks & Recreation Advisory Board

MEMBERS PRESENT:

Chair Sharon Spratt, Vice Chair, Bill Penny, Tom Bracciano, Chris Schumm and Kelly Barth

 

STAFF PRESENT:

Fred DeVictor, Mark Hecker, Roger Steinbrock, Ernie Shaw

 

 

 

          A van was provided and the Board toured a variety of park sites and facilities to familiarize them with some of the park areas.  The tour included Watson Park, Centennial Park, Rotary Arboretum, Kanza Southwind Nature area, Pat Dawson Billings Nature Area, Clinton Parkway, Sesquicentennial Point, Holcom Park and new park sites like Stonegate Park, Green Meadows Park; greenbelt area by Langston Hughes Elementary School.

 

          The van returned about 1:30P.M.  No Board action was taken.

 

          Staff and Board decided no August meeting would be held unless a need arose for a meeting.

 

          Next meeting to be September 13th.
