            The Lawrence Police Department has scheduled Saturday, October 1, 2005, for the Evidence and Found Property auction.  Mark Elston of the Elston Auction Company will manage and advertise the auction.  The auction will commence at 1000 hours at the Traffic Division garage, 5^th and Mississippi Streets, with public viewing beginning at 0900 hours.

            Items on the attached list are scheduled for sale by the police department.  Copies of the list are available to the public at either of the police department’s locations.  Additionally, other city departments have expressed interest in contributing items to the auction.

            Please have this notification placed on the City Commission’s Agenda for public announcement.  Any questions concerning these arrangements can be made to the evidence personnel of the Lawrence Police Department at 832-7552.
