Memorial Park Cemetery Update
§ Staff met with Bryan Brown of the State AG office today. He provided a copy of the legal filings and indicated that a bank in New York, BLX Capital, LLC has intervened wanting to return the property to private hands to service the mortgage it has on the property. Whether they will be successful or not is yet to be determined.
§ The city has spent $62,384 thru September to manage and keep up the property. The AG will be filing documents with the court to request that the city is reimbursed for these funds from the perpetual care funds the state holds.
Boardwalk Apartment Fire Update:
§ The city fire overtime payroll expense for the Boardwalk fire was $32,000.
§ Attached is comparison, as it relates to the Boardwalk Apartments, of the 1965 fire code with the present code and the 2003 code.
