Please place the following item on the City Commission agenda for consideration at their November 15, 2005 meeting:

Request for Qualifications for Development Process Review

Project Description:  The project involves a review and analysis by an outside consultant of the City’s development process.  This is a project that was submitted with the Planning Department’s 2006 budget proposal and approved by the City Commission.

Project Status:  Staff is recommending the attached Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to be sent to prospective consultants in order to begin the initial screening process.  As noted in the City’s Purchasing Procedures, this step will provide an opportunity to select a group of qualified consultants who will then be invited to submit a detailed proposal.

Project Funding:  This project will be funded from the Planning Department’s 2006 operating budget.

Commission Action.  Staff is recommending that the City Commission approve the issuance of the attached Request for Qualifications for the Development Review Process Project.  Responses to the RFQ will be accepted until 5:00 on Monday, December 5, 2005.
