MEMBERS PRESENT:

Meeting called to order at 5:40 pm. by Kreicker

 

Ross moved and Tsubaki seconded approval of minutes.  Motion passed.

 

Boley gave the Treasurer’s Report, distributing new reports to replace the ones that were e-mailed to us.  He reminded everyone that we should be reviewing these reports to prior to each meeting.  Keel moved Ross seconded that the Treasurer’s Report be accepted.  Motion passed.

 

Keel reported on the previous night’s Friends of Eutin meeting at the Max Kade Center.  The Lawrence Children’s Choir made a report on their trip to Eutin.  Melanie Hadley reported on her concert in Eutin.  Eisert made a report on the summer trip in 2005 and a report on the German students who are here now.  Discussion was held about placing the reports in a newsletter.  Kreicker and Keel briefed on plans for the 750th anniversary of Eutin in 2007. 

 

Ross moved and Hodge seconded that the Financial Policies for the SCAB be adopted.  Motion passed.  Financial Policies Governing Student Exchanges will be e-mailed by Lisa Patterson to the Friends groups (Eisert, Holladay, and Hillard) and she will invite them to the next meeting so we can get their recommendations..

 

Ross reported that we will have at least 35 people coming to our November 13 reception.  Invitations and reminders have been sent out.

 

Cynthia Colbert will be doing a SCAB – Friends of Eutin – Friends of Hiratsuka newsletter.  Graham reported that the Eutin group has appointed people to submit articles; he asked Kennedy to have articles submitted from Friends of Hiratsuka in the next two weeks.  Digital content (text and pictures) should be submitted to Lisa Patterson by October 19.  Newsletter will be mailed out in early November.

 

Keel distributed the newly revised 2006 Membership Renewal form and a letter to accompany this form.

 

At 6:50 pm. Josserand moved and Hodge seconded that we adjourn.  Motion passed.
