On November 29, 2005 the City of Lawrence opened four bids. After review of the accepted bids the following manufactures meet the bid specification as requested in the bid document.

Besides the base price of the breathing air compressor we are requesting options including a carbon monoxide monitor with calibration kit, maintenance timer, and dual pressure cylinder refill station. The options have been added to the above total bid. The funding was authorized out of the Equipment Reserve Fund.
Recommendation:
The bid document submitted by Conrad Fire Equipment, Inc. is acceptable to the department, and as you can see the pricing is competitive and is the lowest bid. We recommend the City award Bid No. 0543 for purchase of One (1) Breathing Air Compressor to Conrad Fire Equipment, Inc in the amount of $41,235.80.
