On November 22, 2005 the City of Lawrence opened proposals for the following:

This procurement is for maintaining forty-two (42) existing passenger waiting shelters, and six (6) wheelchair landing pads located throughout the city. Weekly maintenance includes cleaning of shelter windows and frames, sweeping of pads, weed eradication, rubbish removal, and inspection of shelter for damage. In addition, installation of trash receptacles and application of transit system identification decals and route schedules/maps is included. Furthermore, “as needed” services include deep cleaning of pad, graffiti removal, and basic shelter repairs.
Recommendation:
Approve bid from SS Window Cleaning in the amount of $33,743.52 for basic maintenance services, $10.00 per unit for as needed charges, and $15.00 for decal application charges. (Public Transit)
