UPR-09-06-05: Lawrence Community Shelter Protest Petition |
A protest petition has been submitted for the above-referenced Lawrence Community Shelter UPR application. The petition is valid, with 21% of property owners within the 200-foot required notification area submitting valid signatures. In addition, some of the signatures do not count toward the petition’s validity for one of the following reasons: the signatures were not submitted within the statutory required 14 day time period after the November 16 public hearing at the Lawrence-Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Commission meeting, the property owner(s) is located outside the 200-foot required notification area, or the petition was signed by only one of multiple property owners for a legally described property.
